In a bizarre turn of events, premieres the music video to the 2013 Nicole Scherzinger-assisted #willpower cut ‘Smile Mona Lisa’.

Better late than never! is currently working on his upcoming fifth studio album and recently dropped the first single off the project, the Pia Mia-assisted ‘Boys & Girls’, but now, strangely, the Black Eyed Pea frontman’s 2013 (!?) #willpower cut ‘Smile Mona Lisa’ receives the video treatment. No doubt it is in support of his new collaboration with the Parisian museum the Louvre but its still a bit of a surprise.

The track does however receive a glossy overhaul for its 2016 reemergence, gone is the prominently acoustic guitar-led production of the original replaced with a much more current tropic-house synth lead and pulsating bassline for former Pussycat Doll- Nicole Scherzinger- to operatically yodel over.

The accompanying music video was directed by Michael Jurkovac and depicts and Nicole Scherzinger superimposed over some of the museum’s greatest masterpieces, including the rapper as a gun-toting revolutionary in Delacroix’s “Liberty Leading the People”, whilst Scherzinger aptly takes the form of the fabled Mona Lisa. Amidst rumours of the The Black Eyed Peas reuniting and’s keenness for it to happen who recently advised “There will be a Black Eyed Peas reunion,” in an interview with Capital’s Evening Show, it may be hear sooner than you think with the visual for ‘Smile Mona Lisa’ including all the Peas minus Fergie, who we all know is working on her upcoming sophomore solo album. Could Scherzinger become the fourth member like she was originally intended to be? Time will tell.
