Rockie Fresh – Call Me (When It’s Over) (ft. Chris Brown)
MMG rapper Rockie Fresh has shared his long awaited new mixtape ‘The Night I Went To…’ boasting collaborations with Ed Sheeran, Rick Ross and ‘Call Me (When It’s Over)’ with Chris Brown.
Rockie Fresh reflects on a breakup on ‘Call Me (When It’s Over)’ and leaves the door open for his girl, “You can leave the drama that you came with and I can get whatever if you name it, count a million cash, can you blog that?” The refreshing piano-driven production is a highlight which transforms into a dancier tempo on the chorus where Breezy commands the hook on the back of some funky bass. “The [project] is inspired by recent personal adventures that I’ve taken, not just traveling physically but also mentally,” Rockie Fresh told Billboard last November of ‘The Night I Went To…’. “I took my mind to the past many nights, from reflecting on my past as a failing student trying to get into the music business to my past relationships to also having to rearrange my circle and remove all of the negative energy in my life. The journey has really taught me about things that I want to obtain in the future.”
Rockie Fresh’s latest project boasts a generous 13-songs featuring additional appearances from Ed Sheeran (‘Are You With Me’) and Maybach Music Group boss Rick Ross (‘Your Life’) and shows promise for the 24-year old rapper. Listen to ‘The Night I Went To…’ in full below:
