Lady Gaga – Red Flame (ft. Azealia Banks) [Snippet]
As Lady Gaga prepares for the release of her upcoming fifth studio album, a snippet of the previously unheard collab with Azealia Banks ‘Red Flame’ surfaces online.
‘Red Flame’ was one of two collaborations, along with ‘Ratchet’, that Lady Gaga and Harlem rapper Azealia Banks recorded, intended for Gaga’s 2013 album ‘ARTPOP’, however due to creative differences and controversies neither tracks made the final cut. A lengthy, rough snippet of the former has now surfaced on the web giving a taste of what was to be expected, “Cause it’s little A-B, Lady G-A G-A / Tell your little DJ better hit that replay”, Banks raps over DJ White Shadow’s stuttering electro-hop production. Lady Gaga has been working with a wide range of established industry names, old and new, for the recording sessions of her highly anticipated fifth studio album. The 30-year old has been in the studio with former collaborators RedOne, Diane Warren, Fernando Garibay and DJ White Shadow as well as new names Nile Rodgers, Paul McCartney and Mark Ronson among others.
Mark Ronson recently spoke of the recording sessions with Lady Gaga in an interview on Beats 1, “It’s some of my favourite music I’ve really ever worked on. It’s incredible – I love it. I can’t wait until you can hear it because the music speaks for itself – it’s some of my favourite musicians of all time are working on it.”
