Gallant – Skipping Stones (ft. Jhené Aiko)
Rising alt-R&B singer/songwriter Gallant puts his vocals to work on his collaboration with Jhené Aiko titled ‘Skipping Stones’.
American musician and emerging artist Christopher Gallant, mononymously known as Gallant, premieres a brand new duet with fellow Californian Jhené Aiko. ‘Skipping Stones’, a song “for the lonely ones this Valentine’s Day”, is a refreshingly tranquil ballad co-produced by Adrian Younge and Stint who craft a smoky, jazz-tinged canvas for Gallant to let his dazzling falsetto soar whilst Jhené Aiko counteracts with her feathery tones and dazed delivery as the pair question “What am I missing?”, reflecting on the causes of their loneliness.
‘Skipping Stones’, along with the James Fauntleroy-assisted ‘Borderline’, will be available as a two-track release on Friday. Listen to the tender duet below and see why Gallant’s brand of Future Soul is one to be on the lookout for:
