Fergie – It Ain’t Nothin
A brand new Fergie track titled ‘It Ain’t Nothin’, rumoured to be the lead from the singer’s forthcoming album, has surfaced online in early demo form.
Since releasing the creeper hit that was ‘L.A. Love (La La)’ back in September 2014, former lady of Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, has been hard at work putting the finishing touches to her eagerly anticipated sophomore album, the follow-up to 2006’s pop masterpiece ‘The Dutchess’. The wait may finally be over with an alleged video still leaking and a video in January of dancers auditioning to an unheard Fergie track which has now surfaced on the web titled ‘It Ain’t Nothin’.
“Hey, what’cha gonna do when I step in the room? / Betcha y’all ballers gonna rock to the tune” Fergie confidently opens the track with a brazen swag. ‘It Ain’t Nothin’ is a definitely a shout back to ‘The Dutchess’ era with its sassy urban sensibilities, the production consists of rattling percussion and menacing keys but, although clearly a demo, the track feels vacant in its current state and doesn’t even show signs of a ‘grower’ à la ‘L.A. Love (La La)’. Hopefully the final version sounds more worthy of a lead single which we know Fergie is capable of. Listen below:

The singer spoke of the upcoming album to The Daily Mail back in July 2015, “It’s about, I believe, seven years of ideas from different parts,” she said. “From tour, to being pregnant — just all different aspects of life, which is weird because The Dutchess was a compilation of seven years’ worth of songs, as well. So it’s kind of, a little bit, meant to be. It’s kind of weird. It’s kind of an omen.”
Fergie has been working with the likes of Charlie Puth, Jean Baptiste Kouame, DJ Mustard, Rock City, Mike WiLL Made-It and RoccStar on her sophomore album and has confirmed there will be a collaboration with Nicki Minaj produced by Dr Luke. In addition, during a recent interview, her husband Josh Duhamel confirmed that Fergie’s album is allegedly called ‘Double Duchess’.
