Demi Lovato – Confident (Video Premiere)

Demi Lovato drops the cinematic clip for her title-track “Confident” helmed by ‘Sin City’ director Robert Rodriguez.

The action-packed clip opens with the pop singer in a maximum security prison, where she’s granted a pardon for selling out an adversary (played by “Fast & Furious” star Michelle Rodriguez). Lovato is sent to set up Rodriguez, but soon finds she has been double crossed and set up herself. After a bust-up ensues, the two femme fatales unite to fight the system!

The gritty mini-movie for the triumphant, horn-heavy anthem was directed by Robert Rodriguez and features additional appearances from Jeff Fahey, Zane Holtz and Marko Zaror. “I was so impressed by Demi’s fearless performance as a guest star on my TV series “From Dusk Till Dawn” that I jumped at the chance to direct her video,” Rodriguez said in a statement. “I basically treated this like we were shooting a high octane action film, because she has the presence and star power to pull it off. She’s incredible.”

The Max Martin, Ilya Ali & Payami produced “Confident” is the latest single off Lovato’s forthcoming fifth LP of the same name which is due for release October 16th. Watch the cinematic video below:
