D∆WN – Not Above That (Single Premiere)
Former Danity Kane member Dawn Richard, artistically known under the moniker D∆WN, progresses with The Red Era premiering her new single ‘Not Above That’.
The 32-year-old has established herself as an edgy alt-R&B diva since her solo endeavours began back in 2012 and D∆WN continues to prove she doesn’t have to revert back to her commercial days to churn out good music, she’s been, done and excelled in the realm of straight-forward pop with Danity Kane and Diddy-Dirty Money and ‘Not Above That’ is another artistic step forward for the star.
Following ‘Dance’ and ‘Hollywould’, D∆WN continues innovating the dance/pop genre with the experimental ‘Not Above That’. The singer enlists American electronic music producer Machinedrum to handle the production which utilises rapid-fire drums, jittering blips and ethereal synths creating a larger than life canvas on which D∆WN soars to cloud nine with her digitally heightened vocals.
D∆WN (aka Dawn Richard) is gearing up to release ‘Redemptionheart’, the final part of the -Trilogy following ‘Goldenheart’ and last year’s ‘Blackheart’. Listen to her new single ‘Not Above That’ below:
