Clean Bandit – Tears (ft. Louisa Johnson) [Single Premiere]
English electronic group Clean Bandit enlist 12th series X Factor champ Louisa Johnson for the first single ‘Tears’ taken from their upcoming sophomore album.
After a breakthrough few years skyrocketing to success with their Grammy Award-winning global smash ‘Rather Be’, Cambridge electronic group Clean Bandit have been holed up in the studio working on their upcoming second studio album, the follow up to 2014’s acclaimed ‘New Eyes’. The four-piece band have secured a collaboration with the most recent X Factor victor Louisa Johnson which also marks her first single outside of the competition whilst she works on her debut album.
‘Tears’ is a quintessential Clean Bandit track through and through showcasing their trademark hybridity of contemporary electronic music with poignant classical instrumentation and, like Jess Glynne before her, Louisa Johnson’s powerful pipes are a match made in heaven soaring over the elegant production triumphantly singing about getting over an ex-lover.
