Britney Spears – Private Show [New Track]
Britney Spears premieres the full version of the previously teased new track ‘Private Show’, serving as a pre-order single alongside her upcoming ninth studio album ‘Glory’.
‘Private Show’ was previously used in a perfume advertisement for Spears’ scent of the same name and now the pop veteran drops the full version as an instant grat single for her highly anticipated ninth LP ‘Glory’ whom she has been working with writers Chantal Kreviazuk and Simon Wilcox alongside producer Ian Kirkpatrick as well as DJ Mustard among others and described the album’s process as “being more hands-on” and that it is “the best thing I’ve done in a long time”.
Following the revival of Britney Spears on the lead, G-Eazy-assisted single ‘Make Me…’ which was a slinky, contemporary pop number, the 34-year old takes a retro spin on ‘Private Show’. “Work it, work it, boy watch me work it / Slide down my pole, watch me spin it and twerk it” Spears seductively coos over a leisurely, doo-wop-esque production helmed by Young Fyre, a different direction for the pop vet and maybe not a wise single choice, but Spears continues to showcase her reinvigorated vocal presence even providing some soul to her delivery.
